Memory Books

Early this September we celebrated the children that would be moving on to kindergarten in the fall at our annual Summer Party. At the end of the summer we come together for a special day of celebration and although the party looks similar each year the memory book presentation is as special and unique as the children receiving them. 
This year we enjoyed a variety of activities: games, dancing, snacks, ice cream, songs and the very popular balloon hat making and wearing!

Everyone is welcome to the Summer Party to help us celebrate this special group of children and a piñata is made for the big day!

Without exception the highlight of this event is always the presentation of the memory books to the children. The memory books are a reflection of the child's experiences while at the Centre, on the pages are a thoughtful collection of the work and play that the children have done, creatively assembled by their teachers. Artwork, documentation, photos of the children, their friends and teachers along with a wide range of experiences all may appear in their book.
This celebration and the books are a longstanding tradition that we have thoroughly enjoyed over the years at Quadra Children's Centre.
